2026 Gigography of Paul Clarke

PaulyGigography ≫ 2026

Getting there with my gig history now, every gig I've been to, from '87 up to about now. It's an obvious step from my Best Gigs Ever post. Well that's the theory, so there's A LOT missing. I have added details from the big bag of old gig tickets that I gathered while I was in London, + a box of old concert tickets + things from Mum and Dad's loft. Also got a bundle of gaps regarding festival lineups, they'll probably stay missing, it's so hard to remember. There's a lot missing where I've lost tickets or never had them, most of the guestlist actions during my NME and Popex years and that. Yeah I know it's very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm having fun remembering this stuff. Probably I've not started scanning the tickets in yet Of course I have scanned the tickets now[^But I've lost the bag of tickets before I scanned them all in!]...

Got tickets, going to this one! ~Almost certainly going to this, just waiting for T1 to decide if he's coming with us.~

David Devant And His Spirit Wife @ The Piper

Upstairs from a real ale pub according to a friend, sounds good... So the last train back my way is pretty early, so maybe not. One to think about. Says 8pm - 11pm and the last train is about 10:20 so would probably have to drive. Which negates the plus point about it being a good ale pub. + on the same day as Bloodworm in London which I quite fancied, so obviously not goign to both of them!

Bloodworm @ Upstairs @ Highbury Garage

Seen them three times supporting Suede, quite fancy going again! T1 might come with me. This is now called The Grace, though it was Upstairs At The Garage in my day. Oh typical this is on the same day as Devant, so obviously not goign to both of them!

Robert Smith's Comedy Favourites @ Royal Albert Hall

Robert Smith of The Cure likes a laugh doesn't he? He's "cureating" the Teenage Cancer Trust charity gigs at the Royal Albert Hall, + wife got me tickets for the comedy night for christmas. Maisie Adam, Bridget Christie, Jack Dee, Andy Hamilton, Dom Joly, Miles Jupp, Athena Kugblenu, Stewart Lee + Dara Ó Briain announced thus far. Are they really his favourites? An odd mix.
