PaulyGigography2025 ≫ Pixies

Brixton Academy Stockwell Road, Brixton, London SW9 9SL

Yep we're going again! Saturday night. Nephews have tickets for the Friday nights, so might go then too.

Pixies return with their tenth album The Night the Zombies Came the follow up to 2022’s acclaimed Doggerel LP.

The Night the Zombies Came features country-tinged ballads and furious punk numbers, taking inspiration from surf rock, gargoyles and the distinctive dry drum sounds of 1970s Fleetwood Mac.

I was at this one, more from this year in my gigography for 2025. I have seen Pixies probably 3 times; Brixton Academy (2004), Brixton Academy (2004), and Brixton Academy (2025), though I still have some bragging tagging to do so this may go up. Part of every gig I went to from 1987 to 2025. It's a natural step from my Best gigs of all time weblog post. Yeah I know it's very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm having fun reminiscing about these things.
