Right, huge day out that we had been looking forward to for a while, and now it is all gone. All over bar the writing up.
Got train, wife booked the tickets while I was out larging it up at the Potting Shed. I had a hectic day of work on Friday, it even made the news. There was a small system outage. It was not my fault and we were not hacked, but I was dealing with that most of the afternoon. Couldn't even get out early, but 6pm and a nice walk to Hythe, then a few pints of real ale and a Chinese takeaway on the way home.
Skipped parkrun, so 10am train up to St Pancras, plotting brunch on the way. We settled on Granger And Co, it is a bit fancy and pricy, but it was a day of treats, just the two of us. I had avocado on toast with a spicy bloody mary, wife had scrambled egg with a passion fruit bellini. Healthy fruity drinks. No coffee at this stage, I'd had one before coming out and we got another one at the station to drink on the train. Very nice in there, but ought to be at £65 for two breakfasts. Really nice to go somewhere different, do something different, and a great start to the day.
Next a walk to Mayfair for some planeed pubs, but via a stop in Kaffeine as we realised we were missing a coffee. Good coffee there too.
T1 wants the laptop now to do some revision prep for exams this week, so I must stop.
Sunny and a gentle breeze, 8 - 15℃.
Estimated 2488 ☕️ from my espresso machine 1 prob'ly comes to £0.93 a cup (including 3+ years supply of the actual coffee and now servicing 1 so not the 'leccy).
