Got a lift to the station for the 7:01 train. Busy enough, but I got a table. And we got as far as Ashford before it stopped. And it waited. They didn't know how long we'd be there, maybe we'd like to change on to a slow train going to Waterloo or Victoria? No thanks, as I've got a seat, I think I'll wait. Then another announcement, this train is cancelled, everyone off. So we were all stood on the platform waiting for the platforms to clear. The train that was now not going to London was blocking the line so I couldn't get a train back home either. Then there was another announcement, there's another train going to London, so we all piled on, and it was standing room only. And it was still heavily delayed, by more than an hour I think. So I was late for work, instead of being an hour early, but at least I should get some money back.
Busy day when I did finally get there. I might even do some more work now as I don't think we're watching anything on TV.
Clare got her full fare refunded yesterday as she had to abandon her journey. I won't get my full money back, but probably a good proportion of the £43.50 London-bound journey.
Nice walk back from the station, though the weather is not what it's been for the last few days. I went past what I thought was meant to be Anapurna in Sandgate, and it's been rebranded, before even opening. Looks like it's going to be called Nepali Kitchen Restaurant and Bar instead now. Mimosa, opposite, still not open yet either.
T2 has a sudden urge to go on the trampoline in the garden, so T1 has taken it upon himself to jetwash it. This is two bad ideas I think. I think he wants something that's a bit of a change to do from the two exams he had today. They went OK, but he's annoyed because he knows he lost some points in the maths one. Tomorrow he has history and he's pretty confident in that, hence jetwashing in the garden instead of revising.
A clear sky and a moderate breeze, 7 - 18℃.
