Quite a line up but not quite a festival 1. I remember we had free tickets and it absolutely booted it down with rain. Support from Air, Echo And The Bunnymen, Super Furry Animals, and Cooper Temple Clause at least.

Sounds like I had backtage access, I know we had guestlist because we had a spare and were trying to leave it for flatmate Gaz.

I saw Super Furry Animals probably 18 times; Essential Festival @ Stanmer Park ('96), Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms (1996), Phoenix Festival @ Avon Park Raceway (1996), Reading Festival ('96), Mean Fiddler (1996), Manic Street Preachers @ Brixton Academy ('96), London Astoria (1997), Glastonbury ('97), Shepherds Bush Empire (1998), London Astoria (1999), Glastonbury ('99), Brixton Academy (1999), Reading Festival (2000), Kentish Town Forum (2001), Ocean (2002), New Order @ Finsbury Park (2002), Stephen Malkmus @ Royal Festival Hall ('03), + Glastonbury (2003). Part of every gig I went to from 1987 to 2025. An obvious step from my Best gigs of all time blog post. Yeah I know it's a bit geeky, let's let that go though, I'm enjoying remembering these things.
