KISS @ Finsbury Park 1997

Plus Rage Against The Machine, Skunk Anansie, Thunder and Three Colours Red and L7. Got freebies from the NME and drank all the money I saved. Think I had two tickets and gave one away on the way in. Kind of lost it about five songs in and ended up in Covent Garden ¹.

Well, I have said that for a long time but I had always arranged to meet Ro in Covent Garden this day. I must have drunk quite a lot though, and lager at that. Seems I wasn't always as big a fan of KISS as I say I am. I know I was quite dismissive of them before I moved to London, so my love has grown over time. I see other passed up opportunities to have seen them while I was in London.
And possibly not.

I attended this one, more from this year in my gigography for 1997. I saw KISS at least three times; Finsbury Park ('97), KISS at the O2 Arena @ O2 Arena (2019), + O2 Arena (2023), though I still have some bragging tagging to do so this may go up. Part of all the gigs I remember going to from '87 to 2026. It's an obvious step from my Best gigs of all time blog post. Yeah I know it's a bit nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm enjoying remembering these things.
