Plus my first time (of many) of seeing Atom Seed. Happy new year! Pretty sure we slept at Waterloo station after this gig and got a train back in the morning. I think one of the other bands on the bill were New England, no-one of note afaik 1.
- Just found a message on an AC/DC forum saying "Following week’s edition runs a small ad and a gig guide listing for the Marquee’s New Year’s Eve Party with Love/Hate headlining and a bill of Atom Seed, The Red Dogs, Dangerous, and LBH opening the event". LBH are Little Big Horn, the band the person who wrote the comment was interested in. Still not heard of any of the other bands apart from Atom Seed and Love/Hate. So no New England, unless the lineup changed later.
I went to this one, more from this year in my gigography for 1990. I saw Love/Hate at least 4 times; Love / Hate @ The Marquee (1990), Skid Row @ Docklands Arena ('91), Gilby Clarke @ Camden Underworld (2002), + Love / Hate @ Camden Underworld (2023), though I still have some bragging tagging to do so this may go up. Part of every gig I went to from 1987 to 2025. A natural step from my Best Gigs Ever blog post. Yeah I know very geeky, let's let that go though, I'm having fun reminiscing about this stuff.
