Appia seems to be an odd sort of a name. I thought perhaps it was some latin notation like "ibid" or something, but perhaps not... This page http://www.dannyhowell.net/1970/07/burials-at-winterbourne-stoke-1805-1809.html has a burial of Appia Axford in 1809.
