I went to this one, more from this year in my gigography for 2025. I have seen Gene probably 10 times; Essential Music Festival @ Stanmer Park ('95), Glastonbury ('95), Tiger @ Mean Fiddler (1996), V Festival @ Hylands Park (1997), Kentish Town Forum (1999), Pavement (or possibly Gene + Ocean Colour Scene) @ Shepherds Bush Empire ('99), The Scala (2000), Uncle Bob's Wedding Reception @ Kings Cross Water Rats (2000), London Astoria ('01), + Hammersmith Odeon (2025). Part of every gig I was at from '87 to 2026. A natural step from my Best gigs of all time blog post. Yeah I know very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm having fun reminiscing about this stuff.
