My first time of seeing Jack? Think we got these tickets "on return", ie the gig was sold out but the venue called me back when some where returned. Or I kept calling the venue... Had met "the band" before this at Midweeker, an indie clubnight at The Borderline in Soho with Clare. Two suspicious fellows were chatting up my wife to be and her friend and I felt obliged to intervene. They turned out to be the singer and guitarist of Jack, one of my favourite bands of the time and all ideas of chivalry went out the window.
I attended this one, more from this year in my gigography for 1998. Part of every gig I was at from '87 to 2024. An obvious step from my Best Gigs Ever weblog post. Yeah I know it's very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm having fun remembering these things.
