plus 60ft Dolls who brilliantly smashed the place up. Bis were meant to play too. There was another band. Kenickie were also part of this tour, but I don't think it was them.
I went to this one, more from this year in my gig history for 1996. I saw Ash probably 12 times; Glastonbury (1995), Southampton Guildhall (1996), The Fall @ Mean Fiddler (1997), Glastonbury (1997), Shepherds Bush Empire (1998), Glastonbury ('99), Mean Fiddler (2001), The Elbow Room ('01), Reading Festival ('01), Brixton Academy (2001), Reading Festival ('02), + The Darkness @ Portsmouth Guildhall (2025). Part of all the gigs I remember going to from 1987 to 2024. It's a natural progression from my Best Gigs Ever blog post. Yeah I know very nerdy, let's let that go though, I'm enjoying reminiscing about this stuff.
