Two secret REM gigs promoting the album Out Of Time. I did not attend.
Members of R.E.M. were joined by Billy Bragg, Peter Holsapple and Robyn Hitchcock, who also adopted pseudonyms.
I went to the Borderline quite a bit, but not to anything good. I thought The Cure also did a secret gig here, but that turned out to be Highbury Garage.
I have seen REM probably three times; Glastonbury ('99), Brixton Academy ('03), + Glastonbury (2003), though I still have some bragging tagging to do so this may go up.
