OK relatively funny. Thursday T1 came running in from school, Dad I need your help, quick, and he ran out the door again. So obviously there's been an accident, maybe a bus crashed into a house or something? I'm running down the street after him, and he's stopped on the corner of our road. He's dropped one of his earbuds down the drain.
I have a tool for just such an occasion, he didn't believe me that I did, and then of course I couldn't find it. It's a magnet on an extending car aerial type thing. I got a magnet and a cable and some tape and thought I could try and get it out that way? But also I remembered my FatMax Fubar 1, which I see I bought in 2021 and have not used. Now it's got a use. I used it to pry the drain cover open, and reached in and rescued the earbuds. Hero.
The other thing was genuinely funny though, I was on a work call, forgot I was sharing my screen when it came time to register for the Radiohead tickets. Someone else was talking, I thought I can do this during the meeting, suddenly everyone's saying "oh get me a ticket too will you"... I managed to register for tickets, we all have, so wish us luck. We really want to see Radiohead. Hoping we get a code on Wednesday, we should do, and then we can get in the queue on Friday. Could cost me somewhere between £350 and £500 for four tickets.
Everything is so expensive these days, but at least there has been some free energy 2.
