Blog2023 ≫ All queued up to get Glastonbury tickets...

Trying for Glastonbury tickets this year! And they're on sale today! Well they were, and then a couple of hours before I was supposed to get in an online queue for them, it was all called off. Some swizz about it being unfair to people who hadn't registered, damn. If it had gone ahead loads of people would have been unable to get tickets which would mean a better chance for me!

Actually it is fair that they do this otherwise it's only people who'd gone to the last who could go to this one. Or only people who had applied for the last two or three could have gone. I think we must have applied for 2019 or 2020 and that's why I was registered. Still, all ready to go again in two weeks.

Of course I'm not too old. No I haven't told Clare yet.

Speaking of not being too old, I am off to a gig this weekend, fitting in Love / Hate inbetween T2's birthday celebrations. It's the delayed thirtieth anniversary of their first album, delayed by covid like my return to Glastonbury has been.

That album was out about the say time as today's gigiversary. Yes, thirty-four years ago today I was at Motley Crue at Wembley Arena. I was a really big Skid Row fan so was mostly looking forward to them, but went with quite a big group of people from Fareham on a coach. They did two nights, this was the night where Lemmy joined them on stage, I think the other night had Billy Idol. Anyway, awesome show with Tommy Lee's revolving drum kit.

Also gigs from this day, The Darkness in 2001, Longpigs in 1996, and just as rock Susie Dent off Countdown this day in 2008.

Reminiscing time over, it's TV time now.
