Blog2023 ≫ Not much slower parkrun for a big day out in London

Big day out in London yesterday, but not big enough to knock out my parkrun too badly. Last week I did twenty-four minutes exact. Hard to beat that these days.

Folkestone parkrun results for event #392. Your time was 00:24:33.

Congratulations on completing your 130th parkrun and your 118th at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 85th place and were the 77th Male out of a field of 351 parkrunners and you came 10th in your age category VM50-54. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Your best time this year remains 00:23:24.

It was a good temperature for running, but then it was very windy. Lot of clouds too, though didn't rain until I was done.

Check out the clouds over Folkestone this morning

I only ran today, and T1 only volunteered. He has spotted he's done enough to qualify for the Duke Of Edinburgh now so doesn't want to do any more. He's also bought himself an Apple Watch with his birthday money, as he broke his fitbit...

I'll come back and write up the big day in London in a follow up post, after I have showered, and shopped for lunch. Clare is off to work in a bit. I need to do some cooking later, get the Ninja out, making a bolognaise and a shepherds pie for tea.

No gigiversaries today, but it's the twentieth anniversary of the time I got locked in the hallway of our Stokey flat for the whole day WFH, went out to get something, hadn't taken my keys, flat door shut behind me, couldn't get out the front door, stuck there until someone from the other flat came home. Good story.
