Blog2023 ≫ Nottingham Micropub

The one pub the first landlord in Burton On Trent said I should go to in Nottingham was The Barrel Drop. It's down an alley and you'd not stumble across it unless you knew it was there. I did know it was there, I had a map, so we walked there from the Vat And Fiddle. Again, full of Iron Maiden fans. A micropub, quite a big one really, with various real ales. I think we were a bit jaded by this point, starting to flag. I had a half of vegan blackberry stout (wait, isn't all beer vegan???) and we were starting to run out of conversation. We didn't stay too long, on to the next one, the one recommended by the par person in the Vat And Fiddle - it's time to rock.
