A busy week, a productive Friday, and an on-time finish. Had planned to go to a quiz at Hythe cricket and squash club, but one of the team was sick, so two others dropped out, so that left just the two of us. We decided just to go to pubs instead.
First stop, The Potting Shed. Again! It's too good to walk past, but I had already done this one this month so no further to completing my Febrewery challenge. I had a great pint of a very dark porter, more like a stout really.
Second stop, The White Hart. Nearly! It's a good pub, even if it is more foody and less pubby. They only have one beer on and it's usually good but today it was Greene King IPA! Why would you do that? It's not even a Greene King pub. We didn't fancy that so just walked out again.
Second stop, actually, The Three Mariners. Always good, we sat in the lounge bar and talked about music festivals.
Third and final stop The Hope. We had a couple of pints here, the first one really good, the second one was a London Pride and not quite so good. I did speak to local celeb Ken Colley in there. I think he's a regular there. I have seen him lots of times but not spoken to him before. He was in Star Wars you know, and more recently Peaky Blinders.
We were planning to get food in there, as they do noodles, but instead opted for salad and chips in pitta on the walk home.
Febrewery so far, twenty-seven pubs in twenty-five days, nearly done:
