Blog2020 ≫ Dry-vegan-runuary day twelve

Had a little warmup run this morning on the treadmill while Clare was out at pump class. But, was disturbed by the Sainsbury delivery being early. This meant doing slightly more than intended as I started the programme again when the shopping was put away. Then, like a legend, I did a 10k run round Sandgate and to Hythe1.

Was pleased with my 10k until I looked on the Strava and saw one workmate did 20k today and another did a 70k run yesterday!

Oh also made lemon sorbet this morning with the boys, it's turned out quite well. If you put a tiny bit of booze in (half a teaspoon of gin in this case) it seems to stop it freezing completely, making it easier. We still have to take it out of the freezer every hour to stir it, to break up the ice crystals.

Going back to Nine Dragons takeaway on Tontine Street tonight, for vegan goodies. I could get it delivered but also I can drive there, not drinking see.

10k: Ten km, about six miles in old money. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step-count target.

20k: Twenty kilometres, about twelve miles.
