Blog2019 ≫ Fitbit is robbing me of precious distance

Not sure if it's the fitbit or the phone, but between the two of them they've been under reporting my runs. I went out today at lunch, Fitbit says it was only 4.5k1 but luckily I had the new / old Garmin on and it says it was 6km2. That's the one I'm going with. I've noticed the same thing where I've been running with other people recently too, and my parkrun consistently gets logged as under 5km.

I'm tied to the fitbit stats for my graphs and things on here, so I will have to see if there's a Garmin API so I can carry on with this nonsense.

Working from home today, so don't really need to finish early to get to the Inn Doors for opening time, but I've banked an hour so I will. Cheers!

5k: Five kilometres, about three miles in old money.
