Blog2019 ≫ Website hosting costs: £2.31 for the month

Nice, the old static site is saving me more than my phone is costing!

Speaking of which I worked out fairly what my old phone cost. I always said "my phone is only £5 per month why are you paying more???" but it's only so cheap because a) I buy the handset and b) I skimp on data, get on wifi whenever possible and don't make many calls. My old handset (the one that is just going in the bin) cost me £200, the most I've paid for one yet. It lasted exactly two years. My calls / contract went up from £5 to £6.60 at points over this period, so if we assume it was £6.50 for the the whole time that worked out at (£200 + (£6.50 * 24)) / 24 per month, or £14.83.

I will try harder with the next one. So far it has cost me £176.60 per month, and I've not even plugged it in yet. I'm sure I did see it arrive, via the front garden security camera, so can try it out later...
