I was wondering how to easily make pie charts from SVG (scalable vector graphics), and now I know how to make pie charts from SVG1. I used to have a javascript based pie of the music I have been listening to, but it was a big heavy for a super efficient modern website like what this one is. So I have rebuilt it and put in the sidebar over there 👉 for now. I might move it into the weekly "what I done listened to this week" post.

Here is a quick example of my listening right now, this will not be constantly updating, it is a snapshot of this week. I may improve the styling of the one in the sidebar as I learn more, but this will stay static.

I also want to do some graphs of fitness things, I will use SVG for that too.

That reminds me I am listening now on the awesome new Google Home hub that Mum and Dad got us for birthday and I forgot to come back and talk about it. It really is a fab update to the original google home; it has a screen on it. So it's like a nice little touch screen tablet in the corner of the room you can use for things, BUT it's voice controlled and clever. So as well as the normal "hey google play some music" or "play radio 4" we have been doing, during its downtime it is a constantly refreshing picture frame, and it'll show me maps of where I need to be today or a list of my calendar items. Really impressed with it. Only problem is we need to mount it somewhere just out of grubby boys hands to stop them constantly playing with it.
