Blog2019 ≫ We survived KISS

I will be back with more detail, but last night Jack and I went to KISS, and it was QUITE GOOD!

Some highlights, they did all the hits, there was a very good atmosphere, lots of families, lots of face paint. Very impressive pyrotechnics, and all the cliches, including huge explosions, spitting blood, breathing fire, flying across the crowd, smashing guitar at the end of the set. It could have been really really good, it was really good for some people, but the O2 is bad, seats go up too high, so being so far from the action tempered my enjoyment. As did my worry about it going on too long and making the train home, and my general tuttage about the price of things. A programme was TWENTY FIVE QUID, and £7 a pint for a lager, so I was too mean to even get drunk. Also the journey home was a tiring hassle, hard gettin out of the venue and into the tube, so missed the last good train and got a changing train which meant getting in at half one, even with a taxi.

I will look back on this gig more favourably in days to come than I do now, as I am knackered. Glad I bougth a t-shirt even though it was extortionate.

They did Beth and Crazy Crazy Nights and Rock'n'Roll All Nite as the encore, so that was alright.

Oh also I was at Serverless Days conference before that, I will have to write that up. And went to THREE pubs.

Absolutely knackered now can I make it through the day?
