Blog2017 ≫ Walked through Folkestone on Sunday

Went into town, the boys on their scooters. Clare went through the centre to do a little shopping, we went via The Leas, the Zig-Zag path and the seafront. They've started developing the seafront1 at last, the hard standing where the fun fair was has gone now, it's all shingle beach now. Only temporary though they are planning the new development, starting with a path made of railway sleepers to join up the coastal park to the harbour arm. Can't walk that way just yet, but we walked the seafront as far as we could, then went along the road, past the existing flats and hotels that are soon to be overshadowed by new builds, and past were the old nightclub used to be, to the harbour arm. Didn't spend long on the harbour arm, just met Clare there, then walked back up to Steep Street cafe. Number two and I stayed there and had a drink while they went on to the supermarket to get food for tea, then we went to Payers Park to meet them. Cafe was great as always, I had my regular peanut bar (peanut brittle, peanut butter, and dark chocolate), was slightly different today though, really stuck to my teeth. Still good though.

Burgers for tea, the feast before Monday's fast day, still trying the 5/2 diet to give us a bit of room when we do go on holiday. Neither of us needs to lose any weight but Clare wants to be well in credit for the holiday so we can have a massive blow out. Or maybe that's me projecting that idea.
