Blog2016 ≫ Making a robot out of a cordless drill

Nice, found this video from Australia1, it might be a cheap way to get quite powerfull geared motors for a robot by repurposing a cordless drill. I have wondered about this before, I was thinking of the rechargeable power packs though, and this guy says just to chuck them, they are no use. Maybe no use in competitions but we might get some use out of them. Not sure how cheap it'd really be though, found these at twenty five pounds2, maybe there are some no-brand alternatives. Not sure how that compares to a motor like this3, there must be a way of comparing them that I don't know.
