Blog2016 ≫ Tiny javascript microlibrary

In non cleaning related news I've now shrunk my javascript microlibrary1 to 2.5k. This is the javascript file I use to do all the dynamic stuff on this site, it does all the admin for this page and then is also used as a library file to provide functions for some of my other scripts. You might have heard of jquery, which I used to use. I dumped that a long time ago because it's really quite big and I wasn't using much of it. Now I've trimmed more out of my own library made it more efficient and it's not 2.5k, pretty small. Here's the original1 and then here it is minified. Gzipped it's even smaller.

Well I think it's interesting.

5k: Five kilometres, just over three miles to you.

js: Programming language of the internets, mostly how I earn a wage.
