Blog2016 ≫ ScottEVest vs AyeGear

This is interesting1, was searching for scottevest who made the shorts Clare just got me for my birthday. Just doing a bit of investigating, looking for other people's reviews of their products, because I'm really pleased. This article1 is high up in the search results and it's an odd one. Looks like AyeGear are accusing ScottEVest of ripping them off, and vice versa. Also looks like AyeGear are saying "yeah, well no, actually, you can't prove it" or something. I would have thought ScottEVest had the original product, but it looks like they've been doing some nasty tricks too. Interested to find out what the truth is about this.

AyeGear don't make shorts anyway but I was thinking of buying a hoodie... if I take the risk and order the Scottevest one from the USA a) it will be expensive, and I might have to pay duty on it. AyeGear are based in Scotland and the postage is free. But will it be as good? And if they are knocking off the others ideas then should I buy it? I would not buy an imitation from down the market these days...

UPDATE: It was not good, and I sent it back.

💬 Have read reviews of AyeGear hoodie on amazon

💬 I can't find any genuine reviews of ScottEVest either
