Blog ≫ 2014 ≫ The Vokes and Clarke families of East Meon in the 1780s

Looking at East Meon Baptisms for James Clarke (following up on this old blog post about James Clarke and East Meon) and I also see a load of Vokes, have possibly posted these before, these definitely look like the children of our Thomas Vokes (my 5x great grandfather).

23 Mar 1783 Hannah (Thomas and Olive) VOKES 12 Mar 1780 Olive (Thomas and Olive) VOKES 18 Dec 1785 Thomas (Thomas and Olive) VOKES 01 Mar 1789 William (Thos. and Olive) VOKES

31 Jul 1791 (Not given) (Thomas and Ann) VOKES Born 21 May Twin. Entry out of sequence 31 Jul 1791 George (Thomas and Ann) VOKES Born 21 May Twin. Entry out of sequence

Can't be sure if that is all the same Thomas VOKES, maybe he married again? The prognosis is not good for that unnamed twin of George Vokes though.

I think I am related to most of the people living in that village at that time.
