Sounds like there will be a second beer festival, in the summer!

On Saturday I babysat for the friends who babysat for us on Friday, so they could also go to the Leas Lift Beer Festival, so I have more opinions and news to share. It is generally regarded as a roaring success, I think so, the friends think so, they know the organisers and they say so, and finally (but less reliably) I spoke to the organisers after I'd tried all the ciders on the Friday and I'm sure they were positive then too. Even some knobhead setting off the fire extinguisher towards the end of Friday didn't spoil it.

Things finished early on the Saturday, so sorry if you missed it, but they'd sold out of everything.

There will be another Leas Lift Beer Festival, in the summer, and on a larger scale.

Hello and thanks, and good luck for next time to everyone involved.

This is my site The FG that I built in a fury of excitement when we first moved here in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a calendar of events + voting for favourite places + things, and I hear it was a useful resource for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much love as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, the name comes from the name of a pretend paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, + how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
