Blog2007 ≫ Did you know there was a Windebank on the Titanic?

From Alfred Windebank's biography1 on encyclopedia-titanica.org2:

Mr Alfred Edgar Windebank, was born in Southampton (?Arlesford), Hampshire on 18th July 1873, the son of Charles Windebank (cab driver) and his wife Georgina.

He lived in Bevois Place, Southampton, survived the disaster and lived until 1961. I hope that is a short enough quote to meet the terms and conditions of Encyclopedia Titanica...

No, not our Charles Windebank, I don't know if there is a connection...
