Blog2005 ≫ William John Clark(e) son of Joseph Clark

I only have a small amount of information on my Clark ancestors. My father, Cyril John Clark was born in Wick, Hampshire in 1935, but he was evacuated to Coventry, so didn't know his father's family. His father - William John Clark (spelt Clarke on his wedding certificate, Christchurch, to Lily Sloane - nee Joy) was born in aprox 1888. He was in the Royal Navy and had 2 brothers- Joseph, Frederick & George & sister Emily. I think George died on HMS Invincible in the Battle of Jutland. His father, Joseph Clark was from Suffolk born 1859 and was a gardener, I he married Emily Starks. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?
