Well, the theory of a plot to switch the Titanic with it's sister ship, the badly damaged Olympic was news to me... Saw a programme on it on Sky the other night, but I should have guessed, this is a very old story 1... See also The Ship That Never Sank 1, and The Titanic Conspiracy 1.
Most of the suggested evidence seemed very weak, but people like this sort of thing. I still believe it was a tragedy, and one that claimed one of our family, Charles Valentine Clarke...
