Maime Mahon was the oldest sister of Clare's grandfather ("Christie"), or her father's aunt. She was a business woman in Galway (having inherited her father's hotel and properties). She never married and to our knowledge never had any children(humor intended here - in Catholic Ireland unmarried women died virgins!). Her other siblings of course were Rita,Kathleen,Sonny and Della.
