The house next door but one has gone up for sale. It's not on Rightmove yet or I'd have a proper nose around. It's not like ours, it's bigger and detached, like the one next door. Interested to see it, I think prices are a bit depressed right now. There is one just like ours, but it still has an external garage, and it's up for £450k so we must be worth less than that. It does have no back garden, which is probably better than our back garden. Our gardens definitely detract from the value of the house, if not the whole street. The upper floors of that are the same as ours but the downstairs is different. Of course they have the separate garage, but the whole of the "back" (bottom of this image) is one utility room, where ours is divided into utility room and study.
I see one that I do like on the "front" of our road, nearest the sea, unobstructed view ah it's actually opposite side of our street, not uninterrupted views, still another row of houses in front of it. I don't like it so much now. Bigger again, but £900k.
A good thing about staying where we are, I think the trees in front of us are going to be cut down. The council are involved, the trees to the back of the houses in front of us are going to be topped at five and a half metres, that's surely below the level of their rooves? And because we're on a hill and significantly higher than them it means we get a clear view again! Looking forward to that.
Right time to watch France vs Spain now.
A clear sky and a moderate breeze, 16 - 25℃.
