Watching some live TV on my own today and yesterday, as T1 is revising, and wife and T2 are playing Mario Kart downstairs. Or possibly T1 is taking a break from it and also playing. I played a bit with them yesterday but do not love it as much as they do. So, TV to myself. I put Location, Location, Location on and was thinking "these prices aren't that bad, we could have a bigger house / university flat for the boys", and then I realise it's a very old episode. Of course we cannot.
Got the men's football world cup opening match on now, Mexico vs South Africa, just starting not sure I'm arsed at all though. I have got Japan in the sweepstake, will keep an eye on that, first game is on Sunday against Netherlands. And will watch along with some games if they're at a reasonable time. Most are not of course. No-one in the house is bothered. I'd quite like to actively avoid it, but it's nice to have something to speak to friends about. I'm safe from it tomorrow night I think, Potting Shed is not a very footbally pub.
T1 has had his first driving lesson today, went well I think, he's keen to go for another. His guitar playing is going well too, he's very keen. T2 not quite as keen to play which is a shame as he feels like a natural, he's got a great memory, and an ear for it. When T1 is playing a bit of Radiohead that he got on a sheet from his teacher, T2 picked it up right away on his keyboard.
T2 has end of year exams this week, he's not phased by them though, then T1 has his next week. He's more concerned over these, but he's trying very hard. Then there's some work experience next week, right after yet another birthday...
Weather still not great here, cold and wet. I went for a walk today, first one since I got that pain in my calf. I'm going to skip parkrun this week to rest it. I have to now as I've offered myself up as a volunteer.
