I thought the Southampton situation was pretty grim, clearly some guys who like throwing wheely bins at police horses jumping on the tragedy there. But Belfast have taken it to another level, setting fire to loads of houses in the community. It's clearly stoked up by external racist forces, but now I maybe also other trouble makers getting involved. Same thing happened in Glasgow on a smaller scale, and wife's office in London was evacuated today and they were sent home early as they had heard of similar planned trouble in the area. A social media thing, people heading to that area to commit crimes in the name of something or other. The area has no connection with the Belfast or Southampton incidents, but it does have a lot of shops to rob in the confusion of a riot. She's home safely, we'll see tomorrow if it was a real thing or just a rumour.
The Southampton rioters seem like a nice bunch. One of them in the middle of the disorder has "19 previous convictions for 33 offences and on one occasion, he broke a partner's front teeth, punched her unconscious and when she woke up told her he had put bleach in her hair". These are the people who are not far right, not trouble makers, they just want to keep our streets safe for normal people, hmm, you sure about that Farage?
