What did I do on Saturday after parkrun? Too long ago to remember now. Think I got my chores out of the way ready for Sunday. Ironing and so on. Picked up T1 from work, and we did some more shopping. Oh, went to Morrisons for a change and we had pizzas made. I thought it was good, he thought it was good, T2 hated it and refused to eat for some reason.
Sunday though, actually action packed. Ten O'Clock busy train up to Stratford, and then a good day of shopping. Got there before the shops open, straight to John Lewis where we can browse but not yet buy. I thought this would be just the place to get a shirt for the wedding, but no. No luck and it was getting a bit stressful. Tried Gant and there were some potentials in there but not quite right. Then went in Charles Tyrwitt and it was great. Loads of choice, loads of different fittings. So where in Gant I was choosing between the medium shirt and the large shirt, and in John Lewis I could have this feature in this fitting only and couldn't make it work, in a proper shirt shop I got measured, chose my colour, the style, the fit, the size of neck, the length of sleeves, everything. It was like having a made to measure shirt. So I bought two, so that's me done with proper shirts for the rest of my life I think.
We celebrated with a beer in The Cow, and then we did a little more shopping. Not much, books, sweets. Failed to get wife any trainers, nor anything for T2, but worked out what they both want and they will order online.
Dinner was also a revelation. We went back to Wahaca, which we'd done once before and not loved. This time it was great, vegan nachos to start, then tacos and skeweres and burritos and all sorts. We loved it, it was tasty and colourful and great and we will go again.
Train back felt tiring, but fun to have a different sort of Sunday.
Pay day in four days.
