Parkrun this morning, more on that later, then after that a walk to Vintage And Vinyl in Folkestone for Record Store Day 2026. I was going to go anyway and then Mum and Dad generously sent me some money specifically for this. Do not spend it on beer! I did spend it on records, but was it the kind of records they would like..?

They were still queueing outside the shop when I got there. I assume people would have been queuing before it opened for the best stuff, but [I could not figure out from this list] quite what the best stuff would be this year. I liked the look of the Motorhead picture disk, but it is limited to 1000 numbered copies so assumed I'd not get one. I made a note about releases by The Gits, The Who, Jesus And Mary Chain, and KISS. When I got there they still had two copies of the Motorhead first album picture disk, so must have been less popular than I thought, so I had one of those. Then also in the same alphabetical section I got a Misfits coloured vinyl reissue. This was on a bit of a whim, I do like Misfits, and I like stuff off this album. However I don't really want to support Misfits second singer Michael Graves, and in my ignorance I have bought this album with this singer. So, I might sell it again. He is quite right wing. But then thinking about it, the Motorhead album I have bought and am pleased with, Lemmy collected nazi uniforms and questioned the holocaust, so I am ok with separating the art from the artist sometimes.

Rest of the day, lunch in Maxwell's in Hythe, and pub.

60ft Dools thirty years ago today, and Bitch Aid, the Popbitch fundraiser where I met John Deacon off of Queen was a quarter of a century ago today. Also I saw The Datsuns this day in 2002 and Paul McCartney this day in 2003! It was all going on on April eighteenth.
