Isn't it always boring admin here? Boring exercise stats admin, and boring house admin today. Not boring for me, but boring for you.
Our new bathroom is falling down. One of the aquaboard panels that we have instead of tiles is bowing away from the wall in the shower. It's quite subtle at the moment but it's not a good sign. The aquaboard is the equivalent of tiles and so this is the equivalent of tiles falling off in the shower. Got to get the fitter to come back, but also go back to Wickes and let them know in case we have any difficulty with the fitter. The job is complete and paid for from his side, so I guess our guarantee is with Wickes rather than him? Going to go with a double pronged attack. There are so many things annoying us with this bathroom, I wish we'd just had a the simple leak fixed and not tried to make the whole room nice.
On a more positive note our new washing machine is quite good. Not only does it do a faster wash, not only can I set it on a timer so as to use any free electricity that is available, not only does it send me a message to my phone when it is done, but also it sends me a message saying" do you want me to send a message to the tumble dryer settting the correct settings for the wash I have just done?". We are truly living in the futuer there. I have not yet found the setting where it will walk round the house picking up socks, but I'm sure it's there.
In boring other-peoples-house admin the house at number one on our street has finally sold! I'm sure it's been up for about two years. It is an end of terrace like ours but with a double garage. Different layout, possibly slightly bigger. More limited sea view but I don't understand why it wasn't snapped up quicker. It doesn't really bode well for the value of our house, I thought we were worth more than that has sold for, but maybe there's a reason for it. There is a big tree on the edge of their garden that I think has a preservation order. So we'll have new neighbours soon. Not that we ever said more than good morning to the ones who are moving out.
In boring personal admin I am on call today, properly first line on call. This is a handy extra bit of money on pay day in a couple of weeks. Hmm damn why did I think it was the 20th today? I have got overexcited by the anniversary of that PWEI gig, I will have to edit that and repost again later.
