Damn. Woke up at ten to nine. Moved fast, started late, but did it! Not going to be a good time, but runuary ¹ is underway.

Looks like I have run on New Year's day for EIGHT years in a row now! Also today's run was faster than 1st January 2025, which was faster than 2024, which was faster than 2023.

Happy 2026 everyone.

Yesterday I took a last minute afternoon off, and went to The Potting Shed. He had Prohibition X on, the special real ale that was last on during "beer week", the mini beer festival. Then I walked home and we ate fajitas and played boardgames; the new version of Catan ², and Ticket To Ride, both good. Catan ² Cities And Knights was better this time, felt more evenly balanced. I still came last in both games though.

Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze, 1 - 6℃.

Running at least 5k every day for the month of January.
