It's all going down in Sandgate right now. On the day we went to Nepali Kitchen, Mimosa also opened. Mimosa was open to friends and family only on Friday, but looks to be properly open now. I know someone who went, they said the drinks were reasonably priced, for these days anyway. They have cocktails and a range of champagne, and draft beers around the five pounds mark. But no-one knows what the food is like yet.
The food in Nepali Kitchen is very good. We had mixed vegan starters and momos to start. The chilli chips are amazing, think I might go just for them next time. We all had a thali as our main course and they were also great.
The place was chaotic though, the wrong food and drinks going to the wrong places, but these are just teething problems. I wish it will and I will return again. It did seem to be run by children, which is odd. It was like Bugsy Malone in there.
We went to The Ship Inn before hand, straight from work, and that was also nice.
Today the boys were at grandpa's for the day so Clare and I went walking round Folkestone. We walked to The Harbour Arm, then back to The Pullman for lunch.
It was a lovely sunny day but there were weird patches of fog or very low cloud. Can you just make out it has basically erased the cliffs, in this shot from the Harbour Arm?
Then to The Firkin Alehouse for a drink, and then when we worked out no-one had to drive to collect the boys back to The Ship Inn for one more. We sat out on the roof terrace for the first time in ages, but it was a bit breezy up there despite being an amazing day.
We came home to watch Captain America: Civil War once they boys had been delivered. I made a toasted sandwich in the George Foreman Grill.
We've done a lot of walking today, good day for the step count.
Partly cloudy and a moderate breeze, 11 - 18℃.
