Hey on previous years I've used runuary and dryanuary in the titles of these posts, like it was a bigger deal. It's just a thing that's going on now. This morning we got up with a plan to go at nine. T1 was up for it, T2 absolutely was not. We just left him behind in the end, and ran up the canal path to Hythe, then back along Princes Parade. It was very cold, but not icy. T1 found it hard, he has not run since before christmas I think. Still, another 5km done. Clearly past the half way point now.
Following yesterday's "fastest pace for ages", that was my slowest one for ages.
Clare and T2 are now out for a walk, she's going for 10k steps every day. When they go to the cinema later they're going to drop me at Tesco, I'll get some things for tea (I'm making a vegan sausage tray bake with accompanying middle-eastern salad) and walk back with them so I'll get some step count today too. I don't manage to do it every day, but I don't worry about it these days.
I think being really busy every day is part of what is making it not such a big deal blogging the run and going on and on about not drinking. Also I'm doing veganuary. Did I mention I was a vegan..?
Thick cloud and a gentle breeze, 1 - 4℃.
5k: Five km, about three miles to you.
10k: Ten kilometres, just over six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step-count target.
dryanuary: Not drinking for the month of January.
runuary: Running probably 5k every day for all of January.
