We walked up Princes Parade to measure out 1km and then ran back. They both did slightly faster than last time. I ran on ahead so I could time when T1 crossed the finish line, so I wasn't running constantly alongside T2. If I had been I think he'd have picked up the pace a bit. Next time T1 can take his watch and time himself, but today he didn't.

After we celebrated with a stop at a burger van. They had seen a sign for bacon rolls, so we back went for that but they had stopped doing them, they're only for breakfast time and it's all burgers now. T1 had a halloumi stack, T2 didn't want a burger... the burger van man said ok he could do one, break the rules just this once, so he got what he wanted. I got a so-so coffee, should have waited and made one at home.
My pay day delivery arrived today, well one of them. I got some travel cutlery and crockery for T1's Duke Of Edinburgh expedition, it's made of titanium and nice. Then also a more energy monitoring plus, like I have these on the washer and dryer already, I want them not so much for measuring the cost but not notify me "this started using energy", ie someone put a wash in, and then "this stopped using energy", ie the washing is done, and home assistant can send a notification to my phone. Wanted another one for the treadmill, so I can measure how often it is used. Hopefully add to my stats automatically. Basically it is never used any more, this is a terrible waste of money. However the boys did start using it again yesterday, so maybe it's coming back to life. Will see. Also got another light switch so now the last unautomated room in the house will be automated, and then a bit of a wildcard a smart thermostatic radiator valve. It says it won't work without the hub, but that's what the plugs say too and they really mean "a zigbee hub" not "the specific hub". Will find out! How exciting. Will I be smart and return it if it turns out I can't use it?
Hope I will have cleaned up all the mess so Clare doesn't notice anything has changed by the time she gets back from work.

Estimated 1774 cups of coffee from my espresso machine 1 probably comes to £1.05 per cup (including the coffee and servicing 1 but not the electricity).
I do have one of those energy monitoring plus on the coffee machine but have still not done the maths of how much it is costing me. I will come back to this 2...
