Blog2023 ≫ Ninja potato

In other excitement for this week, I did a good lunch yesterday. Just baked potato and beans, but the potato went well in the Ninja. I tried pressure cooking it first, twenty minutes, but when it came out again it was still hard in the middle. I'd normally air fry it again at this point to get it crispy, but is that going to cook the middle? So I tried the "air fry and steam" option for the first time. It was great! I don't know if that alone could possibly have cooked the potato all the way through, I might try it today. Experimenting like this does leave me at a risk of no lunch.

Clare and the boys were out yesterday in Canterbury. They did not stay for lunch though, just some shopping (early christmas gifts for me I like to think) and a visit to the cat cafe. A cafe, full of cats. No wait, it's not as disgusting as it sounds, you might not get hair in your coffee as some of the cats are bald! At least the food there is all vegan. Odd sounding place.

They are home again today for lunch, are they going to share my potato? Probably not.

Today starts Clare's four days in a row of actual nights I think. I will be in tonight anyway (is that five days in a row not drinking?) and tonight I can still go out briefly, an old school style night out like when I first discovered the Inn Doors. Straight out of work by five and home again by eight. Will see if other friends are out to decide where I actually go, Potting Shed or Ship.

No London today.

Guessing 1346 cups of coffee from my espresso machine1 prob'ly comes to £1.18 a cup (including actual coffee and now servicing1 but not the electricity).
