Blog2023 ≫ Friday day off 5. Cinnamon Tree

Food stop, curry. We investigated a few, this one sounded good, and it's goodness was confirmed by the barman in The Olde Mitre. It's on Exmouth Market, which is a place I have worked a couple of times1. I came up here to work in the office of an agency when we were doing some Ruby On Rails with Holiday Extras. Before that I did a bit of work with EMAP who were also based here. Didn't see much of Exmouth Market though as this restaurant was just at the end of it. Food was good, I sat next to another veggie so we shared some dishes, a balti and a biriani, and then mushroom and okra side dishes. We all had a samosa and an onion bhajia to start and also popadoms. A good dinner, just what we needed.

I only just realised we skipped lunch really. Went from that cooked breakfast at about 11.30 to this curry about 8pm.

We were thinking about heading home after this, but had spied another pub on the way we fancied for one more.

The Cinnamon Tree, for dinner
