Blog2023 ≫ Burton Bridge Inn

After a little detour to walk over the actual bridge over the river Trent in Burton on Trent, where we saw a heron and lots of other wildlife, we went to the main feature. The target was always the Burton Bridge Inn, a fantastically old fashioned pub, the first of the Burton Bridge Brewery pubs. The only reason we hadn't come here earlier is the restricted opening times and the need for food.

We sat in what is still known as the non-smoking room, I can see the actual table we sat at in this picture I stole off http://www.burtonbridgebrewery.co.uk

The beers were really good, high quality and low prices, as opposed to the low quality and high prices that are more common in London. Burton-on-Trent is great.

After here back to the Premier Inn and some rest to start our next day in Nottingham.
