Just heard from the nephew he has been given free tickets as he works for the NHS. Yes the same nephew who could not afford the train fair to come up to KISS with me this week is now coming up to Motley Crue and Def Leppard and looking to stay over as he's already going to see The 1975 the following day.
The Beetle was fine btw, it did not get tarmacced over. Yesterday went smoothly in London, if very busy. I seemed to have calls all day, and our bit of the office has now been taken over by another team so I did not even sit with my workmates. Might as well have not been there. I think it is a good sign that our bit of the office has been handed over, seems to be a sign that they accept we don't need to use it and we should work from home more often. I had the nod a few weeks ago to go in only every other week, but it has worked out for me to go in every week since then. I will try and start going in less frequently. This coming week it makes sense for me to go in still as I am going to see KISS in the evening.
I had a lovely lunch, something a bit different as I wanted to avoid anything too big and bloaty. I got a buddha bowl type thing. Tofu, avocado, soya beans, rice, salad, and that Japanese horseradish mustard type thing that I can't remember the name of right now.
Another hot day here today, though yesterday it was cooler with rain. Going to be hectic today, got to take T2 to his sports day, then go back later to see him participate. Got to pack a bag today and take it round my friend's house, then not pack a bag but pack my pockets with just enough overnight stuff to go to London. I think I'm going to want more stuff with me for London than I am for phase two of the long weekend in Burton and Nottingham. I'm going to London, and from London to Burton on my own so will want headphones, battery pack, charger, something to read there, plus toothbrush and change of clothes for overnight. Also change of clothes for that same day actually as I will be going straight there from Parkrun. Thinking about taking a big envelope and posting my running gear back home again and then having a shower at the hotel when I get to London, then everything else can go in pockets. By the time I get to Burton, meet my other friends, and get my bag, I won't have any more travelling on my own so won't need the entertainment. I think I can make it work... I should be better organised than this.
