Blog2023 ≫ The best day of all

Had more busy days this week, this one should be more of a relaxing one. Went a bit more live with my big project this morning, so monitoring that, and also working on general efficiences and cost savings and security updates. Not too stretching, but quite therapeutic doing a bit of repetitive work. Also always thinking of ways I can automate the repetitive stuff. I have done some already, which not everyone uses yet, so I think that's why I find it a more relaxing day.

Also it is pay day. I have bought new sunglasses for my holiday, but just generally for having sunglasses. They are a bit cheap, but they're a brand I quite like where I bought some jeans recently. Yes they do have a bit of stretch in them, but that's because they're jeans for fit and active pro-climbers, not just for fat middle-aged men.

I mention fat a lot. I used our Garmin scales and that estimates my fat content. It is quite high at the moment, though my weight is normal. I've decided to keep track of the topics I talk about here, do a bit of a top of the pops rundown, does this work?

  1. ↔️ exercise
  2. ⬆️ tv
  3. ⬆️ weather
  4. ⬆️ folkestone
  5. ⬆️ step count
  6. ⬇️ running
  7. ⬇️ parkrun
  8. ⤴️ dentist
  9. ⬇️ work
  10. ⬆️ holiday
  11. ⬆️ tesco
  12. ⬆️ london
  13. ⬇️ octopus
  14. ⬆️ portsmouth
  15. ⬆️ film
  16. ⬆️ curry
  17. ⤴️ diy
  18. ⬆️ shares
  19. ⤴️ nhs
  20. ⤴️ hospital

That should have little icons for climber ⬆️, faller ⬇️, new entry 🆕, re-entry⤴️, non mover↔️. Pretty rare I will have a new entry as I talk about the same stuff all the time, but a re-entry is something I didn't talk about last week but appears in the chart this week. Nice.

I see this week in history mostly I was at Glastonbury. 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2003. Did I miss one? Wonder if I'll ever go again. Will be watching it on TV, it will be a good one. Not sure what should happen if the Arctic Monkeys have to pull out. Probably they should promote Lizzo to headliner. I think I'd prefer that to parachuting someone in. It already seems like Foo Fighters will be doing an "unannounced" set (they're a great one for secret gigs, see the ancient history of this site) and then possibly Blur, Pulp and Coldplay too. Then what of the special guests for Elton John? Britney Spears is rumoured to be joining him. Will be a good watch after I come in from the pub later. Not sure where we're going. I went for a walk last night, to the Potting Shed but got my timing wrong. So on to the Three Mariners in Hythe, and had one beer in their garden. It can attract nutters in there, and I believe it was yesterday a bit.
