Blog2023 ≫ Happy fathers day

Clare and the boys took me out to The Five Bells in Brabourne Lees today. Nice country pub, they had roasts and I had a roast celeriac thing. Was very nice if a bit dainty for me really, but T1 had hotdog and chips and didn't want the chips so that filled me up. I even had a pud, very rare for me.

My celeriac dinner in The Five Bells

Some confusion, the pub website offered a gift for all the dads, and also classic cars in attendance, didn't see any of that. Also T2 ordered the lemon curd meringue and it had no lemon in it at all.

I had a nice beer, made for a nice treat. Back too late to go anywhere else really. When we were driving back through Sandgate I could see they've stripped out more of the Inn Doors. The letters from the sign went in the week, and today the door from the front is also gone. There's still a door you can get in and out of, but the door that was used as a sign above this has gone.
