Blog2023 ≫ Is there some sort of event on today?

There's nothing in the news about it.

Yesterday, busy, too busy to do anything. In the final knockings of this project, have had a sudden confusion about priority orders. Something that was scheduled in for a few months time is suddenly needed now. I don't think it's going to work but I'll do my best.

Stayed in last night as mum and dad are here and had a great takeaway curry from The Clay Oven. Got a tiny amount leftover, but not a lot.

This morning, parkrun as normal. They did not need me as a volunteer, but T1 was on the list as the tail walker. Tail walker has to follow round the back of the entire running pack. His cousin turned up to volunteer, also as part of DofE, but was sent away. Confusing I thought they were both down to volunteer for the next few months, but now I think they've had a rethink and they have too many DofE volunteers. Will have to make sure their names are down for the next few weeks.

Not such a quick run this week, but not awful. And at least I didn't lose an earbud.

Folkestone parkrun results for event #383. Your time was 00:24:46.

Congratulations on completing your 121st parkrun and your 109th at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 98th place and were the 82nd Male out of a field of 389 parkrunners and you came 10th in your age category VM50-54. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Your best time this year remains 00:23:24.

Coffee machine just been used to make three cups in a row! And there might be more today! I will have to update my estimates.

Henry Rollins stand up spoken word thing thirty years ago this very day, at South Parade Pier in Southsea. And just been pointed out it would have been my granddad's ninety-seventh birthday today. I should have mentioned that before Henry Rollins I think.

Ooh what a grand anniversary it is:

Guessing 1000 cups of coffee from my espresso machine1 probably comes to £1.36 a cup (including actual coffee and now servicing1 but not the 'leccy).
