Blog2023 ≫ Disappointing dinner at The White Hart

After parkrun I did a few jobs round the place. Not very useful jobs, mostly jetwashing the path again. I gave the beetle a bit of a clean too, but got worried about the jetwasher taking off the primer and making it even rustier so backed away from that.

Went to the White Hart last night. T1's choice, because I said "not Luben", been there too often recently. Then just as we're getting ready to go he says can he have mcdonalds with his friends instead? Then the food was not great either. They've changed the menu, the moving mountains vegan burger is gone. There's only a vegan hotdog and it wasn't nice. T2 had fried chicken and didn't love that. Clare had shepherds pie and said that was good. I had a Speckled Hen, not my favourite, and then a cocktail, bit disappointing too.

Left the car there so have to walk back in a bit to get it. I went to be very early so was up at six today, should have gone out a lot earlier if I had remembered. Been trying to fix this website, which I broke a few days ago. It's all part of linking venues to historic posts, some bad data in there. Got it now though.

Twenty-four years ago today was the Bowlie Weekender at Camber Sands with Belle and Sebastian, but exactly THIRTY YEARS AGO, Poison at Hammersmith Odeon. They played without their original guitarist then, and I'm going with the same friend to see Motley Crue fairly soon, who are also playing without their guitarist.
